This is the locomotive that Maxitrak based their version on. It is NOT a maxitrak loco.

It has a tig welded copper boiler by Steam technology, all original boiler paperwork plus current southern federation hydraulic until 2023 and steam until 2020.

JACK is 36" long, 17" wide and 26" tall weighing 105kg, with a 7 litre boiler capacity an enormous loco for 5" gauge.

This locomotive has, New Twin lubricators, twin 3 cock gauge glasses. new pistons, rings, piston rods, valves, valve spindles, axles boxes, wheels profiled, crank webs, crank pins, return cranks, combination lever, weigh shaft, lifting links, all with new die blocks.
Also new is a highly efficient rosebud grate, with new Stainless Steel ashpan assembly.
Hand pump, axle pump 2 injectors (both work very well, one large one small)

Excellent mechanical and general order and condition. Runs equally well forward and reverse, will notch up to just off mid gear in both directions.

Will pull just about anything you put behind it, steams very freely, over 25kg heavier than the commercially available one which in kit form (unpainted)costs over £12k!!! and ready to run it comes in at £16,000 maxitrak just sold a secondhand one for £9000 this is a bargain.

Collection only, possible delivery within 150 miles of Ashford for cost of fuel. Will steam for any genuine buyer.

Sale to include a custom made transfer crate, which holds JACK securely in place whilst allowing easy slide movement due to the fitted transfer bearings. This makes it exceptionally easy to transfer from a hydraulic lifting trolley to car / van boot.
